Description
This position is responsible for developing and overseeing the region’s trade compliance and logistics strategies, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to regulations and managing key strategic relationships while maintaining a culture of compliance and efficiency. The position ensures compliance with import and export regulations specific to product classification, duties/tariffs, country of origin (COO) declaration, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) eligibility, and training. The position will work cross-functionally internally and externally to ensure that all trade compliance requirements are met and to optimize the transportation network.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive trade compliance programs and logistics strategies executing through training and policies ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations, cost optimization, and company objectives utilizing a risk-based, analytical approach leveraging data to drive decisions.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to streamline logistics operations and optimize supply chain performance on inbound and outbound shipping lanes as well as create network simulations, evaluate consolidation opportunities, and present recommendations to reduce trade and transportation cost.
• Assess the trade compliance program's effectiveness, maintain accurate product classifications in all relevant systems, evaluate controls strategies, audits and assessments, execute tariff planning and mitigation strategies, and identify potential risks and suggest solutions for areas of improvement.
• Strategically build and maintain customs, logistics, legal, and business development relationships to drive customer-centric delivery, timely material sourcing, and compliant processes to enhance product delivery, inventory management, and financial spending. Manage partnership performance through scorecards and KPIs to ensure quality service and cost- effective solutions.
• Proactively monitor the evolving legal and regulatory landscape, perform risk assessments, present actionable recommendations, communicate requirements, and deliver training and guidance to relevant stakeholders.
• Effectively manage and develop employees to support organizational goals and priorities.

Skills and Abilities
• Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills: Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and OneNote
• Experience in data analysis using ODS, Power BI, or similar databases for data visualization
• Communication –Delivers accurate, clear, and concise messages orally and in writing
• Problem Solving–Uses a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem, determining the most probable cause by eliminating potential causes of a problem.
• Proactive with a keen sense of urgency and ability to navigate complex issues and find resolutions
• Effective analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and drive results
• Robust understanding of contracts, KPI’s, and dashboards

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Experience working with all modes of transportation; domestic and international
• Experience with Oracle JDE Enterprise One, Transportation Management (OTM) and Global Trade Management (GTM) (Preferred)
