Join our Calgary client’s dynamic IT team on an initial 12-month contract and play a key role in the modernization of a building permit processes . As a Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst, you will contribute to an exciting project that will improve citizen experience and streamline public-facing permit services. You’ll have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies like AI and automation while helping shape the future of public sector service delivery. Advantages • Work on an impactful public sector project that enhances customer experience • Collaborate with a talented team and business clients to drive innovation • Gain experience with AI, automation, and emerging technologies • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment • Contribute to a project that improves service delivery for the community Responsibilities • Gather and document project requirements from business stakeholders • Elicit business needs, processes, and workflows to define project scope • Identify functional and non-functional requirements for IT solutions • Translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and the technical team • Support the implementation of IT solutions and ensure successful deployment • Assist with user acceptance testing and user training Qualifications Mandatory Qualifications: 1. Minimum 4 years of successful experience in Business Analyst for public facing web applications. This is a crucial role in identifying modernization solutions to improve customer service experience 2. Minimum 1 year of experiences on permit approval or building safe process analysis and AI related tools. Desired Qualifications: 1. Analyze Business Processes: Understand and document current (AS-IS) business processes. Strong ability to analyze and document business processes, gather business requirements, create detailed workflow diagram and Process Definition Documents (PDDs). 2. Strong understanding of package acquisition methodology, principles and best practices. Familiar with Microsoft and Cloud solution is another plus. 3. Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members and stakeholders 4. Previous experience in large scale enterprise customer intake system, AI, robotic process automation and public sector. 5. Strong verbal and written communication skills both internally and externally with personnel at all levels.
