Compensation : $104,817 to $111,990 Annually
We are seeking a dedicated General Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Health Services team in the Northern Territory. This role is integral to our mission of providing high-quality, holistic primary health services to Aboriginal communities in the region.
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes for Aboriginal individuals and families.

• Salary range of $104,817.00 - $111,990.00 PA
• Salary packaging up to $15,899.94 per annum
• Subsidised accommodation for candidates outside of the region
• Relocation assistance up to $5,000 and repatriation assistance up to $5,000
• Six weeks of annual leave and personal / carer’s leave up to 10 days per year
• Access to health clinics, free prescriptions, and general dentistry
• A remote retention allowance of $750
• Starting November 2024
Key... Responsibilities
• Deliver culturally appropriate health services as per the CARPA Standard Treatment Manual.
• Engage in health promotion activities and provide STI education, screening, and counselling.
• Offer advice on lifestyle issues affecting health, including diet, smoking, and alcohol use.
• Participate in community health and wellbeing check clinics and capacity-building education sessions.
• Maintain client records in accordance with established guidelines.
• Provide general health care, including assessment and management of clinical issues, emergency treatment, and patient education.
• Involve traditional elders in promoting health within the community.
• Initiate and participate in quality improvement activities to ensure best practices in clinical care.
Selection Criteria
• Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
• National Crime Check within the past 12 months
• Current Working with Children's Check
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a remote setting
• Certification to administer vaccines in the Northern Territory or the ability to obtain it
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
• Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia / New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).
