Windows Server Administrator (Information Systems Specialist 6) As a Windows Server Administrator (Information Systems Specialist 6), you will provide a high level of technical support for server operating systems on a statewide level as a member of the Windows Computing team within Data Center Services (DCS.) The administrator will be responsible for supporting Windows Server security and compliance to ensure that all on-prem and cloud hosted Windows servers have up to date antivirus definitions and operating system patches, that the Defender agents are onboarded and healthy, and that servers are forwarding security logs. You will investigate security alerts, remediate vulnerabilities discovered by our tools, and help maintain server build automation scripts which install security agents and configures security baselines. Additionally, you will assist with adopting a modern automation platform and configuration management toolset both on-premise and in the cloud. This position works with customers on system performance issues and helps to compile metrics for our patching and vulnerability management services. Please note: This position supports a 24/7/365 operation and may be supporting weekend, after-hours or on-call assignments depending on current business needs. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) years of information systems experience in Windows Servers, System patching, Antivirus solutions, and scripting; OR An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND three (3) years of information systems experience in Windows Servers, System patching, Antivirus solutions, and scripting; OR A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in Windows Servers, System patching, Antivirus solutions, and scripting. Desired Attributes: Demonstrated skill and ability to collaborate with teammates and build positive business relationships with superiors, subordinates, peers, and others outside of their organization. Proven ability and skill to clearly explain complex/technical concepts in terms that are understandable for technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled in Microsoft server technologies with demonstrated experience in Windows OS administration. Experience in cloud technologies, system monitoring, resource availability, and performance analysis. Skilled in system security, patch management, antivirus technologies and vulnerability assessments. Experience with Azure Update Manager, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Active Directory and Domains. Experience with GitHub, Terraform and Ansible. Skilled in data center operations and process knowledge based on ITIL framework.
