Job Overview
Clever Fox Publishing is seeking a Language Editor proficient in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi to join our dynamic team. This is a junior-level, remote, freelance position based in Chennai or Bangalore. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1-year experience up to a maximum of 3 years, who can contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality published content.
Qualifications and Skills
• Proficiency in Tamil (Mandatory skill) with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Telugu (Mandatory skill) with the ability to understand cultural nuances.
• Proficiency in Kannada (Mandatory skill) with strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Hindi for accurate translation and contextual understanding.
• A minimum of one year of experience in language editing in the publishing industry.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for linguistic subtleties.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Edit and proofread manuscripts in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi for grammar, punctuation, and consistency.
• Manage and prioritize multiple editing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Conduct language checks and maintain high standards of linguistic accuracy.
• Work closely with publishing team to enhance the quality of publications.
• Stay updated with industry standards and trends in language editing.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of editorial processes.
