Assembly Job Description Overview ... Assemble electrical cable & wiring harnesses, control panels and related assemblies by completing essential functions and responsibilities Responsibilities • Determine and identify materials needed and sequence of assembly by reading instructions from a job sheet, work order, diagram and/or wire list • Begin assembly of harness by selecting wire of specified color, marking, or length and loops wires between guide pegs on harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on board or diagram • Form wire harness by wrapping and tying wires together at designated points and attaching ends of wires to components, plugs or terminal strip • Protect cable from dust and moisture by inserting cable in plastic tubing or injecting plastic sealant around terminals. • Ensure wire harness meets specifications by testing wiring continuity with tester • Completes wiring harness or assembly by marking identifying data in necessary loca ...
